Sometimes, a voice makes you flail
I'm watching the Les Miserables 10th Anniversary Concert (more on which, and the book, later), and after Act 1 I made the mistake of looking up Michael Maguire on Youtube.

His voice in Music of the Night has left me spellbound

There's something about his emotion... oh gods, why doesn't this man act more?

Michael Maguire is the best Enjorlas in the OBC and his voice is perfect too, but somehow his performance in the 10th Anniversary left me cold for some reason. Technically speaking, he phoned-in his performance in the 10th(Anthony Warlow was supposed to be in the concert but couldn't make it), and his voiced nearly cracked in They will come one and all/They will come when we call! part of the song but he was decent there but he is great elsewhere.

I couldn't sworn he played Phantom but it was some Bravo Broadway concert he sang Music Of The Night(alongside Gary Mauer and Beth Southard for All I Ask Of You if my memory serves me).

As far as I've been able to google, Enjolras was just about his only major role. He's just got an intensity to him that grabs me.

I posted that video, his Music of the Night is very good but I think he doesn't do to well on Bring Him Home.

Thanks for posting it :) And I agree, his higher range isn't quite enough for Bring Him Home. Then again, I've heard few baritone Valjeans who do it justice.
